How do I start my own homepage?

I would like to create a homepage besides myspace stuff, where I can share pictures and keep people updated. Can anyone tell me how to do that?

Go to tripod.com or geocities.com....sign up and just follow their instructions. It's so easy and fun. I've done a couple. They have the templates and fonts and colors and everything.
