all sorts of intestinal problems such as intolerance to certain foods wheat for example.
It can tear the delicate stomach wall and lots of other problems.
Why do you want to? Babies are supposed to get increasingly hungry, that's what they do. You just need to feed them more frequently. Babies thrive on little and often.
If you really feel that you need to, then only use baby rice made with formula.

I know exactly how you feel, when you have a hungry baby, sometimes you don't know how much longer you can carry on, but do try to persevere. If you are really struggling try mixing some expressed milk with Baby Rice and spoon feeding, it might plug a gap. My son never really took to the bottle and was weaned quite early on Baby Rice, and then at 5 months using the Annabel Karmel Baby and Toddler Meal Planner. Your baby might also just be having a growth spurt which may pass and then s/he won't feed as much. If you do wean early, just do it slowly.

Your baby could just be going through a phase - perhaps having a growth spurt, or fighting off an infection - and be wanting extra breastmilk for this reason.
Research suggests it's too early to start your baby on solid food, as it risks triggering food allergies because the baby's system just isn't ready. Because of this, the World Health Organisation and the UK Department of Health recommends that all babies are fully breastfed until until 6 months, and states that no solid foods are needed before this.
However, despite this advice, many people do choose to introduce simple solid foods, such as baby rice, earlier. At the end of the day, it's down to you to decide what's right for you and your baby.

Boy, I can imagine the pain of constant nursing, but the poor little tyke is hungry and he has to be fed regardless. He can't make choices, except to bawl.
Is it asking too much to ask you to bear with him a little longer? Please try....
In the meantime, you must keep coaxing him with the bottle - rub your mother's milk all over the nipple of the bottle and he might think it is the same - they know the scent of their mothers. Also, cover the bottle with a scarf or cloth that has your scent on it.
They are babies but they have their own senses which will baffle you if you are not keen about it.
(I always write 'him' as though your baby is a boy. Sometimes it might be the other way, so, if your do have a girl, please forgive me. Some people are rather sensitive about these things.)

first ur baby is helping u to produce the necessary amount of milk that u will need to feed him. but if u dont want to continue breastfeeding then try different bottle nipples. if he has a pacifier he likes then find a nipple similar to that. if he's still very hungry on a bottle then it is okay to introduce cereal in his formula. my son had to at six weeks but he was bigger than most 3mo old babies at this time. its up to u as his mom. just if u do introduce cereal start with single grain rice because its less complex and the risk of an allergic reaction with it is minimal. then watch his behavior my doc advised me not to give my son a rice bottle with every bottle just a few times a day. ure the best judge of what ur child needs

At this age your baby is going through a growth spurt and it will feel as though they are permanently attached to your breast, just wanting to feed all the time. The phase does settle down for a while until the next growth spurt.
My daughter is now 5 months old and refuses a bottle so it is very time consuming and tiring at times but is so worth it.

Is he going through a growth spurt?
My kids, who had been happily nursing every 3 or even 4 hours, would suddenly start wanting to nurse every 2 hours, or even more often.
It's a pain, and it's frustrating, and you're constantly wondering if you have enough milk, but you DO. When the baby eats so often, it increases your supply, and then they go back to eating every 3-4 hours again.
I'm not a "lactivist." I think it's great that there are other options for feeding kids, when necessary. And I know there wasn't a single day that I didn't think about quitting. (I nursed each kid for more than a year.) But I also know that breast is best, and that it's tempting to just give up.
So if you just need a little encouragement to stick with it, please try!

Your baby is probably just having a growth spurt. Resign yourself to letting him/her feed for as long and as often as they want for the next 2-3 days, then they will go back to every few hours, and you will be willing them to wake up as you are engorged! (You can always express some for trying to feed from a cup later. Some babies who won't take a bottle will lap from a cup.) Don't try to give anything other than breastmilk or formula before 6 months. Ask your health visitor for advice. I sympathize with you. My older two wouldn't take a bottle, either.

At 11 weeks a baby still needs his formula milk as that has every thing he needs. The right age that you should try to wean a baby is 4-6 months and no earlier. Have you tried your baby on an other formula? try SMA for hungrier babies its in a blue tin. speak to your health vistor she will advise you alot better. good luck xx
