I had a hysterectomy when I was 27, I am now 35. I do not have money or insurance for hormone pills, however I do take St. John's Wart for my mood swings. Still, I am depressed and have no energy to do anything or even want to do anything. What should I do?

I've been down too. I guess since somewhere around fourth grade. I've found a number of things that help. I am guessing money is an issue, but I do recommend finding possible state assistance. I think ALL Health care (mental inclu.) should be free.
So here are some low-cost/free remedies:
Sunsets and Sunrises (Unnoticed Daily Miracles).
Taking a walk in the park.
Coffee with a friend.
A Good Movie.
Chocolate.
Dar Williams (A folk singer whose delt with depression).
A Teddy Bear (You are never to old)-or other stuffed animal.
Writing...Poems, Short Stories, Songs,
Painting...other arts and crafts
Cheerful reminders (especially like in the car or at work)

Excercise or yoga...studies show blah blah blah
Meditation...Find the inner you(s)

But the number one things that helps me is going new places and seeing new things-even a different route to work one day.

Yeah, these are all distractions, but there is a lot to be said for temporary help.

If you feel the underlining issue is hormones, then you should seek that option regardless of health insurance/cost. You're enjoyment of life is important to me, if not everyone else. People forget that joy and sorrow are collective experiences.

Best of Luck, and I hope you see more rainbows and sunsets, if nothing else.

Aww honey, Find whatever that motivates you. It could be a favourite baseball group, a buddy, God, something. You simply want whatever proper now to hold you going till you'll get the right aid you want. You recognise there are mobilephone numbers you'll name to speak to individuals anonymously, proper? Like 1800-SUICIDE. Try it. It would possibly aid. Sometimes despair is a hormonal factor, and is not only motivated via matters happening for your existence. You must see your medical professional. Are you burdened greater than common? Are you simply style of in a 'do not care' angle? Are you detached to individuals and to matters which are going down for your existence? Do you actually care approximately ANYTHING so much anymore? Do you continually desire you might simply... sleep ceaselessly, and on no account must cross to institution once more or speak to someone once more? Your replacing moods also are indicative of your progress as a young person.. that is going to be essentially the most turbulent time of your existence. But for those who get by way of those years... you'll be real pleased someday one day and be horrified that you simply ever tried suicide. You're too priceless to lose. And no offense, however I do not believe your mum and dad that 'individuals who do suicide are disappointing and dull.' I additionally do not believe individuals who consider committing suicide is cowardly. It's no longer supposed to be something greater than an break out. But do not check out it anymore, please, please, please. You don't have any inspiration what number of individuals might be shaken via your demise. You do not desire to turn out to be simply one other statistic. You desire to die HAPPY. Sometimes it is tough to confide in even peers considering the fact that they do not comprehend... they do not comprehend how low you sink whilst you are depressed. They simply can't realise it, and would possibly consider you are being overdramatic. But speak to anybody which will comprehend. Please. You're lovely. You're valuable. You need to are living fortunately. Don't rob us via taking your existence. Talk to anybody. Please.

Have you tried taking some vitamin D pills? Consult your pharm. You may not be getting enough vitamin D which can lead to depressed feelings and tiredness.

You don't have insurance? No job? What?

If you are low income, then contact your county's department of social services. If you qualify, they will get you seen by a GYN to get your hormones.

See? No fuss, no muss.

check with the manufacturer of the pills you were perscribed. They have programs to help people who cannot afford their meds. If this doesn't work, surround yourself with family and friends. Please keep in mind, things can always get better if you're willing to wait it out!!!!!!!!!
