Well hopefully I will feel as you do!!! But my mom is the EXACT same way. She is now 49, I am 25, my older sister is 27, and she wants grand-babies so bad. My baby sis (19) got married to her Marine in July before he went to Iraq so we are wondering who is going to have a baby first!!! :) I think I'm about ready to get married, and I've let my boyfriend (of five years) know. I always thought I'd be a young mom, but I just keep getting older. And i thought i'd be married by 24, child by 26! :) I also thought after two years being with someone you SHOULD KNOW YOU WANT TO MARRY THEM!!! :) haha. But our first few years he was in the Marines, so it was different. :) This kinda went off the subject, but it was more or less me comparing you to my mom with the grandchildren because honestly she wants them sooooo bad. My dad said "i want them to be married first" :)
Good day to you RLP!!! :)

I do not mind giving my age (34). The thing is that I often forget my age. For example this year I had the hardest time remembering if I was turning 34 or 35. To me it is just a number, I don't mind aging. I also had my children young. My oldest is 15 with my baby turning 14 in December. (I married by choice at 17, and had my first child at 19)
I have a sister who is younger than me by 5 years, but she is so uptight about her age. Once we worked in an office together and people would comment that she must be the older sister. This upset her greatly. I would just laugh it off and tell them I am older in year no maturity.

I'm with you. I have to admit, I look almost 10 years younger than I am, so when I tell my age, people are surprised. I get the feeling a lot of people think my husband and I have a huge age gap, when in fact it's only 4 years.

It never occured to me to lie. I'm sure I'd get caught in it anyway. I always tell them my current age and boast it on profiles and what not too. I feel good about my age and looks, but I've never been carded for much anything. Talk about a confidence dropper. :(
You are right to LOVE every day you are blessed with. Your age may just be another reminder to your mom that -- for lack of a better phrase -- time is running out. She's getting older and there's nothing she can do about it. But deep down she's just as excited about your aging as you are!

I am 29, so have no issue of telling my age. If I still look good at 45 I will tell the truth. lol

I'm told I look 15 years younger than I am so getting older for me is fine.
What I have a problem with is when someone finds out how old I am they start treating me differently than they did before they knew my age.

Yes, I do if anyone asks. I am very proud of my 41 years. My mom doesn't mind being called grandma, she has 24 grandchildren and just loves it.

I am 37 and everyone says I look 28. I have never cared about the question myself. I am proud to have lived and be blessed with every moment of it.
