i once dated this girl it was cool and everything but she ended up moving away, yeah we had our issues but to me she was the only one i could trust should i try to find her or let the past be the past and let her live her life?

she moved. if she wanted to get in touch with you she would have. let her be and move on. its for the best.

I think if you truly care for her then go for it, find her...see if she feels the same as you. the worst that could happen is a good friendship or loosing touch again.good luck

sadly sometimes we have to let go and move on. if fate meant for you to be together it will bring her back to you, if not hold the warm memories close to your heart , and let her go.
