I think that for one it was the help that the us gave them into becoming even part of international trade , also it would have to do with how many populate the country and how that would make it more competitive for people seeking employment , hence cheaper labor , so in fact they are already a dominant force , seeing how everywhere there are reminders of this . China has took over many things that used to be made in other countries which now just ship it from China .

The Chinesee have a command Economy via their Maoist form of government. The Chinesee culture, which is over 4000 years old, has always worked in a central Fashion. Chinesee Emperors held that Beiging was the center of the world. that is the social background in which the Communist there retain power. There are over 1,000,000,000 people living in China today. Their command Economy allows those people to work and their basic needs are taken care of by the government. All of those people, working together are very productive, capable of producing large amounts of product for the least amount of cost.

As an Example: In the United States we pay one worker to produce a TV every 5 minutes. For the same cost to the manufacturer in China, they can pay 100 workers to produce 100 TV's in 5 minutes. It is that kind of price/cost ratios that drive down the cost of a lot of items that used to be produced in the United States.

US manufacturers also protect the environment in which we live.
I know that statement will be questioned by our own environmentaist, but in comparison 7 of the most polluted rivers in the world are located in China. I don't think I would want to drink from the Mississippi River, but it is a Thousand times cleaner than the Yangzee.

So we spend more on labor, we clean up after ourselves, and we like to buy cheap nicknacks for christmas, we like cheap electronics, we always try to by the most for the money that we do earn.

People wonder why there is a 100 billion dollar trade deficit, or how china has enough money to buy our Treasury Notes.
It is a simple equation.

Build more cheaper and the world will bow at your feet.

It is how we rose to power in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. And it is how China is rising today.

Cheap labor is the greatest factor in China's rise in international trade. The Chinese people are fantastic workers and very clever. As Chinese become more affluent labor rates will go up and China will not be competitive.

Cheap labor on the backs of the working class makes the profits.

first of all, carry your horses on "dominant". China's exports are slighly smaller than those of england or Japan and lots smaller than those of Germany or the U.S. As to factors, there is purely one: comparative income. China can produce problematical artwork-wide gentle manufactures very inexpensively. mutually, China is heavily depending on imports of oil, metallic, plastics, chemical substances, and capital equipment...

Hey hey hey!! This question is way to good to waste in this forum. You can't ask these questions to these people. They have no idea what's happening in China. Thank you for asking such a great question, but I hope you get a decent answer.
