Isn't that the reason to date someone?

It depends on if this is the most important reason for your dating them. If all their other characteristics don't matter as much as them buying beer, then apparently -for you- this is the right thing to do.

For ME, however, buying beer doesn't make the top ten list, so dating someone because they bought beer would be foolish.

Now, it *COULD* be that you're in the US and under 21. In which case, it may be skirting the lines of legality, but that's not the same as ethics, is it? It could be that it's a bad idea to date one's dealer though...

Ethics, smethics. Free beer is free beer. Period. Now, if the question is do you HAVE to date her just because of the free beer, one must consider the real value. Is she really ugly? Is she going to give you a (ahem) medical problem? No, you don't have to.

If it's just dating, with no downside problems, sure. Go for it. While you're at it hit her up for some dough. Why not? Beer you only have for a short time. But cash? Now we're talking return on investment.

If she wants to buy you beer AND give you cash, forget the ethics. She obviously wants you bad. Real bad.

Cash in

No. Besides, this isn't an ethical dilemma, but an economic one. The ability and willingness to buy beer is one of the first qualities I look for in a date.

Ethically wrong? Sure. But necessary? Absolutely, if needed.

Of course not. Many have had bad experiences with problem drinkers. They may respond by deciding they don't want to associate with people who drink. They are free and well within their rights to make that choice.

Got to get your beer some way, if not you then someone else would be doing it.

No, if someone bought me beer who I dated, I'd be happy!

No. I think that you are morally obligated to date them. If it doesn't work out, can I have her number?
