Friend of mine is planning to elope to the Maldives to marry her sweetheart. I think that is sooo romantic!! Did you elope? and why? did it work out?

No, we got married in a church even though I wanted to elope and well now we both wish that we would have because it could have saved us so much money if done right.

We did we were is Vegas I know how cheesy but I have never been the girl that dreamed of having that huge wedding etc....Were there with him on business and we just went and got our license and went to the Little White Chapel and got married....I would do it all over again. My parents were alittle hurt but when we came home a few months later had a huge party with family and friends

Yes my wife and I are from Canada and we went to vegas it was grand not at all tacky. that was 7 years ago and we are still gooing strong And we both think that it was the best thing we could of done.

Yes.eloped and married in teens only to be deromanticised later.
