The REAL gun nuts are worried that the Republicans will take their guns away too! Quit teasing the gun nuts! It's mean. How is that supposed to help them get over their paranoia?

I could be called a gun nut and I am not worried about the dems taking my gun because the only way that they will get it is from my cold dead hands.
PS the AK-47 is a piece I would go with the M-16

New York and Washington D.C. have the toughest gun control laws in the world. They also have one of the highest crime rates in the world including gun crime. Missouri passed a carry concealed law. St Louis banned them inside city limits. St Louis was selected as the USA's most dangerous city last week. The rest of Missouri crime rate is lower. Get the picture. Criminals don't care if you ban guns, they don't buy them legally. I live in a town where almost everyone owns guns, no kids shot, no parents shot, 1 shooting that was a retaliation murder, We've had 4 stabbings, 1 fatal, ban knives? 6 high school kids killed in the last year in car accidents, ban cars? they're killing our kids faster than guns. So are drugs

It doesn't matter what the demis do us hunters will always have our guns and even if we have to hide them that is one right us americans will stand together on. As you call us us gun nuts will always survive the do gooders that have screwed the world up with there retarded advice. It's not us gun nuts that are the killers its the gangsters and the mexicans that all the do gooders want to take care of that are doing the killing and making the world so bad.

I am a GUN NUT, and I hope we could become a little bit MORE like CANADA, SWEDEN, NORWAY, DENMARK, and ENGLAND. Places where you just don't have that much use for guns...
Did you see recently it was gun violence that just brought down a fine young man in Bryan Pata, a college football player from the University of Miami.
Pata, 22, was shot to death Tuesday night outside his off-campus apartment, less than two hours after practice and an informal team dinner ended. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound defensive lineman was found dead in the apartment complex's parking lot when police arrived, and detectives ruled it a homicide.
If we had LESS GUNS available in America that would be one way to reduce the homicides and gun violence. Another way, which I favor, is an idea from Comedian Chris Rock: if bullets cost a thousand dollars. People wouldn't be wasting them on people...When people have guns, there is a false sense of security. If you do NOT have a weapon, you do NOT pose a threat (unless you speak in a vulgar manner).

AK 47 are already illegal. Are you saying that anyone who owns a gun is a nut? Rather intolerant, don't you think? I thought "liberals" were supposed to be tolerant. The 2nd amendment says nothing about hunting. People should be allowed to have the means to protect themselves.

I've heard quite a bit from the Democrats in the last 24 hours, talking about their agenda - a lot of it sounds good, and I look forward to some progress, finally. However - one thing that I have NOT heard is anything regarding gun control. No one is out to take anyone's guns away.

I am not a gun nut and don't own one. But I still want the right to get one if I feel I need to. As long as there are guns and anyone that makes them there will always be those that shouldn't have them that get them. Legally or illegally. Innocent people will still get killed. Guns don't kill.....people do.

The 2nd Amendment protects against federal firearms regulations, except in very limited areas. So, regardless of who controls Congress, there's not much the federal government can do.
As far as the state governments, that's up to each individual state legislature. If you have a position, get involved in what laws are made.

It's not the Dems (sic) it is those in the ivory towers that fear reprisal.
This is not a complex issue. Most democrats and rural republicans want a firearm around the house Only those with a guilty conscious fearing the wrath of those whose pension funds were looted, want to abolish guns.
