Let me get this straight... you have a child who WANTS to be active but you won't let him? Jeez, most people have problems gettin their kids away from the Xbox or Playstation...

Buy the damn heely's, but tell him he can only use them if he wears the right gear. Elbow and knee pads, gloves and helmet.

If he is too young (personally I think 7+) for them then promise him you will get them when he's older, chances are next year he will want summat different anyway.

Let kids be kids... I used to eat worms, fall off my bike and out of trees on a regular basis, my mam made me play with the kid who had chicken pox, and spit was the best for cleaning cuts and removing dirt.

Please don't get him a gamestation... get him a bike with stablizes on if you are concerned about him hurting himself.

why not get him heelys but only let him wear them while supervised? If he's too young I would say a scooter or something. Why bring an active child inside?

How old is your son? Almost every kid in our kids' school has heely's. Maybe you can have him wear them around the house until he gets used to them. They don't appear to be dangerous to me. Does he have a skateboard?

spikefan 2 is right. you should get him a portable game system and a few games. i suggest buying the nintendo ds lite and the nintendogs game for ds. the graphics and gameplay are even more dominant than the psp. in fact, the ds has sold more than 3 times that of the psp. for more info, go to the websites i listed below.happy holidays! have fun shopping!

You could get him games for a game system that he has. If he doesn't have a game system, you could get him a Nintendo ds and a few games to go with it.
