it comes from oil the polythene granule "like small peas" or polymer is mixed with various linears and additives such as anti satic, anti slip or slip and master batches to give it colour or strength.then the granule is heat as it goes through a screw and is heat in gradual stages from 0-230c ish depends on polymer type.then the molten polymer is pushed thorough a die from the screw and pull up to a set of rollers "nip" then compressed air is blown into the die to blow the bubble out to the size required. the speed of the rollers is increased to get the thickness "gauge" and then it is put through a set of winders and put on a reel.
