I loved it! It's one of my favorite musicals. We saw it in New York - and the cast, the sets, the costumes - everything - was smart and chic and beautiful.
It's sort of a throw back to old fashioned musicals. It's got a straight forward story line and gorgeous music. Though more serious, it kind of reminds me of "Carousel" - intelligent, complex and literate.
I envy you seeing it again! Enjoy it.

It's incredible. I saw it on Broadway with Victoria Clark, Katie Clarke, and Aaron Lazar. It is seriously the most gorgeous musical I have ever seen. The music is absolutely breathtaking, the story deep and touching. I really run out of adjectives when talking about this musical. I was moved beyond words.

If you enjoy musical theater, light hearted romance drama, some comedic, and emotional entries, and what is basically a period piece,,, you may enjoy it. PlayBill actually has it's booklet out now, and you can find some of that on PlayBill.com, as well as a general WWW search.
