One time i had a dream where someone was cheating on me and i waxs screaming at him. One time I had a dream, someone kidnapped my children and I was screaming with no sound. There have been others but these are just an few examples.... what the hell does it mean??? btw, I am a pretty well adjusted person, my life is pretty normal, school, work family stuff. I dont know why Im dreaming this way.

There is a chemical that the brain releases in order for you to NOT act out your dreams. The lack of this chemical is seen in sleepwalkers.
Basically, it parylizes your muscles so you don't, say, punch yourself while sleeping. It does the same with your voice.

So, on to your dream.
It could be that you're overly tired, and you're not sleeping deeply enough, but just enough that your brain realizes you cannot talk, or in your case, scream.
How about running? do you run in slow motion too?
Many symptoms make me lean towards this explanation.

It could also be that you feel overlooked. If you're very busy, maybe you haven't gotten the invitations you expected, maybe you thought someone would stop by, etc. and this didn't happen.

Make a point of spending an evening with your loved ones, and be seen and heard.
See if this stops the dreams.
If not, it may be the lack of solid REM. Try to get better sleep by regulating your sleeping habits:
to bed at the same time, no reading or eating in bed (that's so your brain learns that bed is only for sleeping), dark and comfortable. You could even try some white noise.

Good luck, and I hope you get some rest soon!

I have very simular dreams. My Dr. told me he feels it is my subconscience trying to help me work through unresolved issues. One was that when I talked to my boss about important issues I felt like my concerns fell on deaf ears. I m not sure if that is something you are dealing with or not but if it is maybe you could try to find a way to be heard by the person(s) so that you can resolve it and than get a good nights sleep.

Dreaming of screaming without sound is a way to tell you that you are losing control in many things in life. Subconsciously, you want to get attention, you want to be aware of what your action is. However, this dream reflects that you have helpless conscience that makes you out of control in many aspects in life

i have had dreams of exactly that- that something is terribly wrong yet im screaming for help and no sound comes out.
(it means you have anxiety)
plus- one day when i WAS in real trouble and was telling the person with me i needed help and actually NO SOUND came out of me at all, even tho i felt like i was speaking. (thank goodness he could read my lips and see i was in trouble) but it seems my fears came true at that moment.
I hope and pray that never happens again when i REALLY need to be heard.

This dream represents your inability or fear of a posible inability to protect the person you love or the inability to comunicate with other persons, do you feel like no one cares about your opinion or have you entered some circumstances that make you feel unwanted or ignored ? If so this could be the problem. If you have any questions feel free to pm me.

This is normal. You are actually having a dream and want to say something real bad, but since you are sleeping you cannot say the words out loud. Some people are able to say the words while they sleep, others can not.....KECK

i am no dream connoiseur, but i am just going to say that your dreams are from fear that you will not be heard and that you will not have control in those situations.

it seems you are pretty level headed so it makes sense that you would fear being placed in that predicament. these are not unfounded fears. everyone fears losing a child or having a lover cheat on you, but just maintain calm and more likely then not you will maintain control over any situation.
