format. At the moment I have alot of mp3s in a folder called MP3s under my documents. The tracks are listed artist then a - then the name of track for example Beatles - I am a walrus. But I want these songs copied to itunes which has a different layour for track listings, something like track name, time, artist, album etc, I no longer have the cds for these tracks so it wont let me get track info off net. Does anyone know how I can transfer and rename these tracks individually? for it would take a long time?

If you mean a FOLDER of MP3s with multiple files in it, that is quite simple. Here it is, step-by-step:

1) Launch iTunes

2) From the File menu, select the "Add Folder to Library" option

3) Follow the prompts

4) Select all of the new files, and right click them. From the popup menu, select the "Get info" option.

5) in the dialog that appears, select the "Info" tab, and enter the desired information.

If you have multiple files selected before you do this, you can update multiple files to show the same artist or album info

6) Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the dialog box.

To transfer individual tracks, it would take a bit more time. Follow the same procedure I outlined above, except the second step - select the "Add FILE to library" instead of "Add FOLDER to library" option.

This is why I don't like I-tunes. When I hooked my PC up to the college network, the network installed this thing on my PC automatically. It was gone just as quick thanks to my use of the Windows uninstaller. I'd recommend staying with Windows Media Player v. 10 and forgetting I-tunes. Media Player will still sync to your portable MP3 players without a problem.

you could acquire song off the iTunes shop, burn it to an audio CD and rip it in notwithstanding format you like. you will % iTunes an account and a CD to burn the song onto. in spite of the undeniable fact that it somewhat is complicated it somewhat is extra inexpensive than downloading song from different places, i might supply it a try.
