Hi, i would like to get a computer built, can you guys give me some specs for a great computer. I'm not really computer savvy, so i don't know much. I would like to include the Thunder K8W Extended ATX mainboard Socket 940 (S2885ANRF) and 8gb of Ram. This computer will only use three programs Illustrator, 3ds Max 9 and Photoshop. My budget is $3000 US. Thanks

You will not want that motherboard, it uses the old AGP, you want something that uses the new PCI Express. Grab this motherboard:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813182081 two of these processors:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103553

These are the main parts you will need, I can give you the rest if you are interested, just give me an email, its in my profile. Also, 8GB of RAM is extrem overkill right now, you cannot really effectively use more than 2GB with the current state of technology, hence why blow your money on more.

Go to Pricewatch.com and buy the most expensive of everything and you will get a beast. $3000 is a lot of cash if you build you own.
