I just found out I'm pregnant this morning!! YEAHH!!!! That makes me exactly 9 days pregnant from the date of conception or by the Doctor's calculation 3 1/2 weeks along. Only took 2 months to get pregnant and I've kept it a secret from everyone at work so far (difficult in my office environment) but I am just smiling all the time!! They're gonna know something is up. Is it too soon to tell them?

Just to add something, my group at work (9 of us total) is VERY close knit. My cubicle is in with 3 other ladies and I've been pretty nauseous lately. How CAN I keep it a secret even if I wanted to? Plus, I have to make all my doctors appointments and they can hear everything I say.

I couldn't stand it any longer. I had to tell them. I told one friend and she said she didn't wait to tell our group when she was pregnant. So I had an impromptu meeting and made the announcement! I feel soo much better now!!!!!!

First off Congrats!!! Really you can tell people anytime you want. It's your call. Alot of people wait until after the third month as a luck kinda thing because chances for any complications go down quite a bit after this time. Congrats again!!!

Good Luck to you!!

That is a personal question, but generally people do not spread baby news until after the first trimester is over. Most of the risk for a miscarriage is over by the time the 2nd trimester starts. People just don't let it out to soon incase something unfortunate does happen and they lose the baby and then they have to go back and tell everyone why there is no surprise coming anymore, which can be extremely hard.

I would personally only tell close loved ones first.

Tell as many as you like, though :)

You go by the doctor's calculation, not the date of conception unless is was invetro. So, you are 3 1/2 weeks pregnant, not 9 days. Also, it depends on you! Some women want to wait until they clear the "safe" zone, which is 3 months, and others don't. I waited until I was nearly 3 months to tell my co workers and told my family right away. But there is NO right or wrong answer....just a right one for you! Good Luck!

CONGRATS!!! =)

Honestly, I'd wait a little longer to tell anyone outside the father and MAYBE grandparents.... I'd even wait on the grandparents if you can - unless they see you hurling or something.

Some people believe it's best to wait until you're in the second trimester - some for religious reasons, others for work reasons (some jobs FREAK if they find out you're pregnant.) and others just don't want to jinx it. (More often than not, if something's going to GOD FORBID go wrong, it will in the first three months.)

Do whatever feels right to you... Be well! Good luck! =)

Congrats. Not to be pessimistic, but yes, it is WAY too early to tell coworkers. I made the mistake of telling quite a few people about my second pregnancy, and it ended at 8 weeks in a miscarriage. I would wait until you are at about 12 weeks to tell people. Your risk of miscarriage is much less after that point. Again, congrats!

If she is 9 days late, she can get a test now. The over the counter test is pretty accurate. If you have a negative test, you could still be pregnant but not have enough of the pregnancy horomone in your system to test positive, but a positive result is always accurate. Good luck

That is really up to you. It is a hard secret to keep though. I would wait until at least your second trimester. That way you are over the most "risky" time. Some people may just figure it out on their own....
Congrats!

Congratulations!! I think it's too soon to tell people especially at your work. We didn't tell anybody until after my first trimester was over because that's the time when a lot of things can happen.

I think close family is okay (suport system if something goes wrong).

But, wait until at least 8 - 12 weeks to tell you co-workers.
