(how embarassing for a Sprint agent) jus dont remember what GSM is and i need the phone to work way out here. thanks again.

if you buy a un-locked GSM phone....you can use any provider and change sims cards! you cant do nothing like that with tracfones!!

GSM is the rest of the world's equivilent to CDMA. Sprint and Verizon use CDMA the rest of the world uses GSM. Global System for Mobile communications. If you're a Sprint agent you should look at that Samsung CDMA/GSM or the NOKIA GSM/CDMA hybrids.
You can use hybrids with ANY carrier ANYwhere on Earth.....but they ain't cheap.

go to tracfone.com and order a new one
