Is the "trick" that it's unlikely that anyone answering will have had their hands on a PS3 yet because it isn't out in Europe or the US?

i have even play on the ps3 at the stuff magagine show but..
There are going to be many loyal Sony fans out there. This means that the PS3 will do well regardless.
However, I dont feel the PS3 will be any different to the Xbox360. The only difference will be the Blu-Ray drive and crisper ingame graphics.
The Blu-Ray can hold MUCH more data, meaning that DVD movies or video sequences in games will be full HD.
In game graphics will look slighly better compared to 360, mostly through a high end HDTV, etc.
The biggest turnoff with the PS3 is the price. I aint paying THAT much for it!!! Some people will I am sure?
Overall, you are not getting anything 'strikingly' different compared to the Xbox360. Thats my opinion, and I am sure people will disagree.
As for Nintendo, I never even looked into their 'Revolution/Wii' system until early this year. When I saw pictures and videos of the system and games I was very impressed. The Wii obviously isnt a powerhouse system.
It does has power behind it, but nowhere near the level of 360 and PS3. However, the Wii creates a new, revolutionary way to play games, and even serious gamers can still play it also. The Wii is much, much cheaper also and I am proud to admit that I am buying one on launch day.
Overall I feel Wii is the better system. However, once the PS3 reduces its prices it will soon pickup the pace I reckon. For me... I am getting the Wii (my brother has the Xbox360).
If I buy the PS3, what gains am I getting here? With the Wii, we have a combination of games along with my Bro's 360. However, Wii is my favourite system of all three

Well when the PS3 comes out it will BY FAR be better than the 360 hands down!!! The quality is unsurpassed, they havn't even created games that will be able to utilize everything that it can handle! With the Blue Ray everything will appear better, you'll see blades of grass on the field and the play will be much smoother.
The controller is motion activated so in games, like racing or Madden, if you turn the controller on it's side it will actually turn you that way without even having to press any buttons! It will also have trigger buttons in the back similar to how XBox controllers are, but designed totally different from any other gaming system I've seen.
You'll still be able to go on-line and play like you can on PS2, but I never even bought an XBox just played it countless times at friends' houses, with many errors at that. Do you remember how many angry parents there were at Christmas time that spent thousands for that system on EBay just to have it crash constantly?
I believe PS3 is going to sell for $600 but that's when it comes out Nov. 17th, in the US, so until then we'll be stuck with what we already have... But personally, i can't wait to see what the next Grand Theft will be like on this system, they pushed the date back by a year to revamp the game to as much as possible meet what the PS3 can do! Ooo I want one!!!

The PS3 is way better even though I have played neither, and the PS3 versions doing the rounds aren't the full working versions.
I have never bothered with the XBOX, the PlayStation is the best.

360 is better so far. Xbox live is amazing and PS2 could never use the online services so i would say Xbox all the way

Ofcourse the ps3 exists, its just not available to buy yet.
None are better as both have/will have their good and bad games.
It's going to be down to your personal choice which you prefer.
