Does it really matter how we pronounce it? The important thing is that there are so many delicious ways to prepare them! I would have to say that I could eat nothing but potatos for the rest of my life.

If you were to look it up in a dictionary, both would be considered correct pronunciations. Personally, I think it depends on where you live. Here on the east coast, we say things like "curse" instead of "cuss". No big deal, really.
