Yes some women have a period during pregnancy. I have heard of a few cases where the woman did not even know that they were pregnant because they had a period the whole time they were pregnant. Not many women have this problem. I read a story about a woman in New York (I think) who went to the hospital and had a baby. She and the doctor were surprised that she had a baby because neither one thought she was pregnant. She had no symptoms and continued to have her period. There are very few cases like that. And most women when they are pregnant their whole body goes through a bunch of changes. This woman did not and I've heard of very few other cases like hers throughout history.

The"period" you are prolly talking about is implantation bleeding. This type of bleeding is usually lighter then your period an dmay have cramps just like normal. Alot of women said they thought they were just getting there period and they were pregnant. This can occur anywhere from 3-12 days after conception. It is caused by the egg implanting into your uterine wall. Many women think that it is their period bc it can come around the time you are suppose to start. Yes pregnancy symptoms can be noticable if you are pregnant. If you are unsure if this is a period or not then take a test around the time that you are suppose to start.

My mum had periods the whole way through her pregnancy. At first it was is she pregnant, isn't she pregnant. The pregnancy test works in the same way, you get a positive reading. The doctors and midwifes then just kept a close eye on her to make sure the baby was fine. I think it's more common than we know. Pregnancy symptoms do become noticable, but do a test.
Good luck.xx

if a woman is pregnant she doesn't have a menstral period, they have breakthrough bleeding and it's usually lighter than a period. there are some accounts of women (mostly overweight women) being pregnant and not knowing it.
