The exchange rate system is a worldwide system and not just for Jamaica. You need to find out the exchange rate between Jamaica and the country you are from and do the math. It's pretty simple actually.
More details would be to research if Jamaica floats its currency on the market or attaches (pegs) its value to another country's currency. Most likely, a small country like Jamaica would peg its currency to the U.S. dollar.
Do a google search and see what you can find out.
Good Luck!

Try this website for information on the floating exchange rate system in Jamaica:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamaica
Supported by multilateral financial institutions, Jamaica has, since the early 1980's, sought to implement structural reforms aimed at fostering private sector activity and increashing the role of market forces in resource allocation. Since 1991, the Government has followed a program of economic liberalisation and stabilisation by removing exchange controls, floating the exchange rate, cutting tariffs, stabilising the Jamaican currency, reducing inflation and removing restrictions on foreign investment. Emphasis has been placed on maintaining strict fiscal discipline, greater openness to trade and financial flows, market liberalisation and reduction in the size of government. During this period, a large share of the economy was returned to private sector ownership through divestment and privatisation programmes.

below a floating fee economic growth strengthens the forex. This makes exports to different international places extra high priced and much less remote places international places would be figuring out to purchase your products. So thats extra funds that could have been made lost. below a fixed equipment the growth does not deliver approximately bigger exchange expenses so remote places international places purchase merely as lots out of your usa.
