Both. Usually I am a pessimist because I expect bad things to happen. Especially when I get excited about something, I immediatly tell myself it is not going to work out so why am I even getting excited about this? Then I am an optimist when the situation calls for it. I am very optimistic that we will have a democratic president this next election. It is not that i want one, it is just that I really don't care. So usually when I don't really care, I am optimistic that such and such is going to happen. Hope that makes sense to everyone. Makes sense to me.

I used to be very optimistic. Then as the years go by and my luck seems to worsen....so has my attitude. How do you reverse the effect should be the question. lol
