There's a great quote from the writer/playwrite Neil Simon: "I want to be a writer - what should I read?" The character's response was "The entire third floor of the New York public library."
Writing is like art - learn from the masters before you. Bronte, Tolstoy, Hemmingway, Shakespeare - read all of them.

There's a book by Lawrence Block called "Writing the Novel: From Plot to Print" which will give you some good ideas on how to put the novel together.
I'd strongly recommend reading "On Writing" by Stephen King. He will give you some very fatherly advice on writing - including whether or not you should be writing. You have to be dedicated, obsessed, and willing to spend hours every day writing.
Good luck.

I advice that interior the component to textual content textile books the only one you prefer is somewhat Brown guidance manual. they are obtainable in maximum any college e book save and are an impressive source of gramatical tips. As for concepts for professional sounding memories I recommend which you study a type of fiction, Sci-Fi, and myth. look on the way the story lines flow, the sentance systems, and the final sense of the story. learn the way the authors type the characters and placed across the agonists, protagonist, and antagonist to existence. character progression is an essentail element and with out it the story will flop. you are able to take some easy writting instructions out of your community community college. this could assist you discover ways to right type each and every style of information and supply you how you are able to produce concepts and shape them. i understand the community college I attended had a style the place they disected Tolken, George Lucas, and quite a few different fiction writers. in case your community college provides a style like that i could recommend taking various of of those. different than that permit the unfastened writing initiate and good success!!
