I HAVE HAD A NEW COMPUTER AND ALL MY IPOD TUNES ON ITUNES ARE ON MY OLD COMPUTER AND I DIDNT MAKE A BACKUP... I NEED TO SOMEHOW STOP MY IPOD FROM LOOSING ALL THE SONGS WHEN I PLUG IT INTO MY COMPUTER... SHOULD I UNINSTLL THE NEW ITUNES BEFORE I PLUG IN MY IPOD VIA USB?

put all of the songs onto a cd (blank) and then put the cd into your new pc and put them all on itunes . good luck ! p.s. when i put a question up with all caps they deleted it.

you may not have to re-install any thing at all;but i have an idea that'll work alittle better, you can try and head to the public library since they have computers with internet you can use your I tunes from that computer.and if that doesn't work try a lap top,usually people use those for ipods and itunes

If you set your iTunes up to NOT automatically update your ipod, you'll be fine. You won't have all the songs in your iTunes folder, but they'll all remain on the iPod itself.

I had to do this, go to the apple website. Their tutorials talk you through it.
