A mouse crawled in bed with my mother (they live in a very woodsy area in an old house and occasionally get mice, but had never had one in the upstairs where the bedrooms are), so it can happen. I guess I'd make the decision based on a number of factors. Her age... does she WANT to stay in the room knowing that there might be a mouse... can the room be seriously cleaned, top to bottom, under and around everything, before bed (I think this is important)... perhaps you'll want to borrow a mousing cat. I would loan you mine for a day or two, she's the snuggliest thing, never scratches or bites people, but is an absolute TERROR on mice.

The mouse might not even be in her room anymore, could be in YOUR room, or another bedroom, who knows. Get cleaning for your own sake and your family's.

One way to prevent them from coming up the pipes from the basement in very old houses is to stuff the crevices around the pipes with steel wool (I like to use brillo, because the soap is an additional deterrent), then tape over that with duct tape.

Mice breed very quickly so if you have got mice it will be mice and not just a mouse. They also leave droppings every few minutes which are supposedly toxic, so therefore it would be advisable to get rid of them before you let a child sleep or play in this room. You can get humane traps if you don't like the idea of killing the mice. Mice are very partial to chocolate so this would be good to use to bait the trap. Also reset the trap for several days after it appears to stop being triggered to ensure that you have caught them all.

No and no with a side of no.

Rat poop carries nasty diseases like oh say..bubonic plague. Wait until pest control comes by. Mice will live anywhere even in the most clean and elegant homes. I recommend the old faithful remedies too like mousetraps and rat poison just make sure you put the traps and poison in places you can get to but the kids can't.

Cats and dachsunds are good for catching mice.

i won't be able to imagine why you've printed this in "toddler & Preschool". those childrens are far previous that age, besides the undeniable fact that they're really not mature. Your lady friend has the moral backbone of a humid noodle. Does she extremely have the favor to make confident her daughters' sexual careers commence off with a modern addict, without kinfolk she is familiar with about for him to stay with? No unrelated guy belongs lower than an similar roof, now to not instruct interior an similar room, with any youthful female. What to do: record the concern to youngster's shielding facilities, or inspite of that is said as on your section. you may want to lose your lady friend's solid will perpetually, yet you'd be holding her daughters.

No problem at all for her to sleep in her room! Why would there be?
Why do you need pest control? Get a mouse trap or two.
At this time of year mice always move indoors, because it is warmer there!

get her to sleep in a different room. pest control are coming tomorrow so then see if she can sleep in there after. i personally would be freaked out of my mind if i knew that there were mice in my room. just let her sleep with you for the night and see how it plays out the next night.

I would say if it's possible, have her sleep next to you for the night. Aside from waking up being startled from a sound sleep if the mice come out and play, it's just not cool to have to be in that situation if it's avoidable.

Hmm, if I had a daughter with pests (ESPECIALLY rats) in her room, then I wouldnt let her sleep in there (No matter how old she was) because of fear that a rat might bite her and she might catch rabies or some other freaky disease. I say that its safer if she sleeps on the couch, or with you, or in another bedroom, I would never let my daughter take that risk...

She should be fine for one night, especially in the top bunk. Might want to leave a night-light on, just in case.

If she's at all scared about it, let her sleep with you for one night.

I wouldn't let my daughter sleep there . Put her in another room. Sure the little buggers are cute and all, but god only knows where they have been and what nasty things they have been up to.
Glue traps work really well, if you can handle killing them when they are caught.
They pee and poop everywhere, and sometimes that is worse than the little critters them selves. Good luck.
