It's different in every woman. Since you're only 13, it's likely that your period will be irregular for a while. Typically I get slight cramps (mine aren't bad at all) just before (up to a week) before my period starts. It just takes time for your body to adjust at this stage.

Usually it takes 2-3 days of cramps than comes the period.

I have cramps the day before or sometimes the day of my period. Most women get them 2-3 days before there period but some women can get them a week before.

im 12 i have had mine since October 18,2005 and my bday is October 31 and mine is still way way irregular i was suppost to have mine 2 wks ago and havent had it yet! but sometimes i have cramps a week before or sometimes a week after i stop and one time my period went for 2 wks plus!

i never had cramps untill after i had my first child...now i usually get them about a week to 3 days before i expect my period unless i get pregnant

They can start up to a week before your period. Every female is different but that is what i experienced.

It can be a couple of days or a few hours. Once your cycle regulates you will know what's up with your body. I suggest wearing a pad to school just in case.

I am 12 and just get mine. i get all crampy for like 2 or 3 days b4 i get my . and i am rilly crabby the whole time!!
