Of course, I could be kidding. Not much sympathy on this site for husbands who are heading out the door. If I ever did say I was leaving my wife(happily married), she probably would help me pack.

She may have been hurt and packed your bags trying to see if you were going to stand by your word.
1) If she included packing your condoms then she wants you to go.
2) If not, she doesn't want you out there hosing anything that moves. Which is a sign that she cares for you and you hurt her deeply.
If you don't use condoms...
A) If she includes packing your aftershave, deodorant, etc., then she wants you to go.
B) If she didn't pack them, then she's hurt and she cares for you.
Of course she may care for you and hopes that you really stay, but only you two can fully comprehend what each of you is thinking.
If you haven't talked about it, my guess is that there's been a breakdown in communication and it went sour.

Sounds like for her yes, and you---well, you said you wanted to leave didn't ya? Don't say it if you don't mean it, I would probally do the same thing if that's what my husband said to me. If things aren't right in a marriage and only 1 person wants to make it work and they try and try despite what their spouse does, it doesn't work..... Why do men always do this?? They threaten during a fight by saying they're leaving you. If you really love your wife and work it out, don't say this, EVER! Instead try improving your communication. But if you really do want to leave, then LEAVE!

1. You don't love her any more and it's really over
2. You've done all you can to save your marriage
3. You're not bluffing, you actually leave and start to end your marriage legally
4. You're not trying to shock her into action
Otherwise, it's just unnecessary drama.
