Yes as long as it was done properly. A rebuilt engine should put out the same performance as a broken in engine. Sometimes rebuilds have a few modifications done to them that makes them faster,more powerful,or get better gas mileage.

My husband and my father-in-law work in a bodyshop..It should be alright to buy a car with a rebuilt engine. My husband had bought a Honda and had rebuilt the engine and it works great.

Yes, a rebuilt engine is fine. Just make sure you check it out by a mechanic or if your handy, make sure there is no burnt oil, tranny fluid, major dents, etc.. even greater if the engine has a warranty, probably not though. Take a test drive and see how it runs and feels. Take your time and make sure and you'll drive away happy.
