Not at all! And always remember from now until your child is grown, your child is unique and will do things in a way that will not always be considered the norm; consider that A GOOD THING as a baby, in the toddler years, during elementary school age, middle school age, etc.
When I was pregnant, people would tell me my baby was going to be up at night for feedings etc. Then when she was born I was shocked to see this amazing sleeping pattern she had, because I had heard so many horror stories! I would literally be huntched over in here crib checking her breathig, because I thought it wasn't "normal" for her to sleep so long! Funny thing is my daughter is 9 now, and she still has a longggg sleeping pattern! The house could fall down around her bedroom and she wouldn't wake up! LOL
Just know that with this and other things to come, your baby has a pattern that is his or hers and outside advice (while helpful) will not ALWAYS apply.

At 6 weeks it is fine for baby to sleep that long at night or even longer. My son started sleeping 6-7 hours at that age and he is healthy and happy. Just be sure to monitor baby's weight. If baby starts to loose weight add another feeding during the day. But let baby sleep at night.

Sweetheart i don't understand the place you have become your advice from! at the start do not enable a 8 week previous toddler cry, that is far too youthful to initiate any controlled crying! you will in all possibility could feed your toddler each 2 or 3 hours on the 2d each so often greater! Breastfed toddlers do not replenish as much as bottle fed toddlers! i understand how drained you're have faith me I truthfully have 4 toddlers 2 have been born 7 weeks early with feeding issues. My 1st toddler become this style of sluggish sucker through being early he might take a million hour and 30 minutes to drink his bottle. Even after that no kidding he might in basic terms sleep with a dummy which i might could put in approximately 20 circumstances a evening! My ideas are.. a million .. relax and settle for you would be drained, sleep interior the day in case you are able to with toddler to seize up! ignore the home household initiatives! 2...If achieveable try a bottle of formula for bottle earlier mattress, something breast feed. it may fill toddler up greater. 3.. As your breatfeeding are you feeding toddler jointly as you're mendacity down? it may help with tiredness! good good fortune, undergo in ideas that is common you're able to desire to attempt and get others to assist once you are able to and take a glance at and consume and drink healthful ingredients! i understand the variety you experience you at the instant are not on my own!

No! That sounds perfect. My sisters baby is 6 weeks, and she just slept her longest of 6 hours in one shot, so it sounds like your right on target.
