The couple enjoyed their romantic idyll at the lake house.

Occult means hidden.

Just checked out shibboleth. Shibboleth has to do with language particular to its place of origin. OK?

I can add the missing one...

"the old shibboleths come rolling off their lips" ... meaning something empty of real meaning

For vernacular: language or dialect native to a region or country rather than a literary, cultured, or foreign language.
