Im thinking of things i want for xmas and wondering if its worht the purchase

You're much better off with a Nintendo DS. It is an awesome game system that is also backwards compatable with all previous Game Boy systems.
The idea of using the PSP for movies is kind of stupid. You are better off getting a portable DVD player. Larger screen, and you don't have to buy all your movies twice!

Yes, the PSP is very good!! Don't waste money on a Nintendo DS. The PSP can do just about anything. You can use it to listen to music like an Mp3 player, watch movies, play the video games and even go on the internet with it, to websites like this one! And if you have a PS2 there are games you can use to get extra levels and equipment like if you have Socom 3 on the PS2 you can use a USB cable to hook it up to a PSP and download extra maps and guns if you have the PSP game Socom US Navy Seals: Fireteam Bravo. You can put pictures on the PSP and buy almost any sized memory card depending on how much storage you need. They go from 39MB up to 4GB!
Definitley get a PSP for Christmas!! It is worth the value. :)

Its very functionable. It has wireless internet, wireless gaming, mp3, movies, games. Much more to offer than the DS. Depending on what you plan to use it for, I reccomend a 1gb memory stick, especially if you plan on using it for mp3 player. But overall it was a nice little investment if you will use it often.

I have been using PSP for over 7 years and have done all the upgrades. I am using psp10 right now and love it. It has endless ways of processing photos, painting, drawing and so much more. Get a free 30 day trial d/l . :)

Yes. its fun you can put videos,music,photos,go to the Internet, and most importantly play games. :)
