have the intelligence (if not the wisdom and experience) of a human being? If you believe this might be possible in the future, how do you envision you would interact with that computer and/or android? And while we're on that topic, do you think you would consider having an android as your guest at some future Thanksgiving dinner? Now I know there will be laws prohibiting marriage between human and android, but (be honest now) would you consider making an android your life partner and living together with him/her/it in sin?

"*" Blade Runner is very high on my list of all-time favorite films. And AUTs, at least as far as I'm concerned, have a special dispensation (not by the Pope but by the URO - - - Universal Ruling Oligarchy).

That would be KEWL!

It would either be like Terminators hunting humans down, or a bunch of Mr. Datas from Star Trek: TNG.

Very soon, possibly has already happened. The computers are definately more than powerful enough now, it's just a matter of working out the programming. Robotics are not as far along esp in making a fully functional humanoid but progress these days is rapid in all areas of technology. The age of machines is upon us.

i do no longer think that AI will resemble human "intelligence", through fact besides the certainty that it's going to be designed by potential of human beings it could have distinctive purpose and standards. it heavily isn't human. The Sci-Fi goals won't substitute into realities to that end.

Please do yourself a favor and watch (or watch again) the movie "Blade Runner". The answers you are looking for are all there (plus you get some incredible music and cinematography as added bonus, as well.)

BTW, do your "living together in sin," and "prohibited marriage scenarios," also extend to cases involving AUT's? lol
