I beleive love is truely what makes the world go round. Everything ultimately is motivated by love. Positive and negative, whether its love for someone else or love for ourselves. whether its a lack of love recieved or a desire to give love. Everything we say think and do is backed by love, think about it...So what is love. Chemical reations? or soul food? what is love to you in every sense?

Love in a way is the idea of loosing yourself for another and in such a way can be a madness. The buddhist ideal is to have no self and thus there is nothing to loose and therefrom one becomes content to cope with the matter at hand!
Then there is the line from the Wizzard of Oz: loveis judged not so much by how much you love as by how much you are loved by others!

I think that the meaning of love is understanding. Having the ability to relate to all beings in a neutral sense, thereby never judging, assuming or reacting harshly. How can you truly love something if you don't understand it?
I'm not sure that I would say that the meaning of life is love. But in order to have a full life I do think that you must love!

Claiming that love is the meaning of life may be a false assumption.
The first question is what is life, we must start at the foundation of the inquiry. Love is not foundational, without life there is no love, so to understand love is first to understand life. Then what is the origin of life? Well, it certainly can't be a naturalistic origin, there is no love there, just death and destruction. The existence of love gives evidence of life, life can only arise out of life, so the origin of life and therefore love is supernatural. God, who gave the greatest example of love, by dying for our sins and redeeming human beings. Thus, we understand true love, selfless act of kindness. That is a good definition of love.

Probably chemical reactions. But that doesnt belittle it at all for me. Its a natural thing that perhaps one day will be scientifically proven, but it is still one of the best feelings I've ever had!

love is your feelings toward someone ( family, friends, neighbors...ect) and also toward things ( country , town, car , book,..ect) which makes you fell happy when having them and ready to do anything to regain them if they are lost.
