I have an NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000 128MB AGP card installed. Its temperature increases rapidly when I run a game. I can't turn on the effects (Motion Blur and etc.). If I do so the game freezes and I have to restart the machine. When I'm working in the desktop the temperature is above normal.

I had the same problem with my earlier VGA card , so I replaced it with the present one. But the problem remains the same.

Where do you think the real problem is? is it with the M/B? or with the AGP port?

My M/B is a Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 Pro-G and I'm running XP SP2.

Yeah your right, you have a cooling issue. I perfer waterblocks for the gpu. But I doubt you will consider liquid cooling. Try a cooler instead.

You could be pushing your cards too hard too. That is a pretty old video card. Are you trying to play new games with it?
