I notice there are alot of questions on here asking why doesn't the death penalty be brought back into law, so with the popularity of reality television how long will it be until we have Teatime hangings on the television and will this be the ultimate degradation of humanity?

I am against hanging. I still think we have a long way to go backwards to reach that horrible stage.

In an ideal world hanging or any other form of capital punishment wouldn't be required, but we don't live in an ideal world. Letting someone rot in prison for the rest of their lives would be a better alternative for the brutal sociopaths who commit murders and rapes all too often. Likewise the sick fundamentalist terrorists who kill and maim at will with no remorse would benefit from perusal of their crimes in a proper environment. But just look at the prisons !! Like staying in the hilton. Too many do gooders making the penal system attractive and no deterrant at all. Ask the families of victims of senseless murders how much justice their loved ones get! Until there is a proper alternative that works many people will opt for capital punishment and rightly so.

Unfortunately most prisoners were executed early in the morning and so it'll be on ITV with Fat Fern and that bloke whose name I can never remember. Nope. The ultimate degradation of humanity will be when we're all enslaved by giant paramilitary koala bears and made to work until we drop on eucalyptus tree farms. That's happening three weeks on Saturday if the koalas get their way.

When was a boy hanging was the norm.
I lived near a prison in Leeds that did lots.
As the time ticked on nearer and nearer it was all i could
think about, things running through my mind like what if they did not do it.I hated the thought of some one hanging and still do.
I also think now about the innocents who were hung as later proved. No hangings for me

Texas has a death penalty but the lethal injection is so boring. I'd suggest a firing squad, electric chair, guillotine, or drawn & quartered be used in order to get the best tv ratings.
