tell them at 20 weeks. by then having the baby is a pretty sure thing and you are usually out of the miscarriage danger zone. 20 weeks is also around the time you have your 1st ultrasound. so you'll be able to tell them, and show them pictures!

thats a tough one, i would definatly just go ahead and tell them tho, even if you do miscarriage you will have a huge support system to help you through it, and if they never knew and your like i miscarried, it may not be such a huge deal with them, since they didnt have time to bond with the baby either. Also it might put less stress on you letting them know, and it will raise your endorphins from all the excitment, thus leaving you will a much greater chance for the healthy baby to continue. I would say yes, tell them... right away,, but do it in a really cute way.

Being that I'm a newlywed 19 yr old, I opted to tell my parents [and his] and older sister when i first found out, as i needed their guidance. But my grandparents and younger siblings only found in my 16th week, and I'll only tell my friends once i hit 6 months- if they havent figured it out yet for themselves at that point. most people wait until after the 3rd month to tell family, when the chance for a miscarriage has decreased significantly. as for friends, they get told in the 4th or 5th month.
but hey, do whatever you want. there's no rules.

Just wait until you are 12 weeks at least and then tell them because then the risk of miscarriage decreases a lot.

Traditionally you're supposed to wait 3 months. This is partly due to superstition and partly because the risk of miscarriage decreases greatly at this point.

There is no right time. It is a highly personal thing. You have to make that decision yourself. Someone might ask you before long and you will not have to make the decision.
