As an Iraqi (ethnic Assyrian) i find it puzzling and extremely annoying when some(not all) british muslims, ie Bangladeshi & Pakistanis feel they have the right to pontificate about iraq. They use it as an excuse to project their dislike of britain, its people and culture. Iraq has nothing to do with Asian muslims, there is no connection in race, language, history, culture, geography and appearance. They are not our "brothers" so whats their excuse? And dont mention islam, if that were the case they'd all be off to Darfur to protect the black muslims being slaughtered in their millions! Also, iraq under Saddam was secular, and not an islamic state. As an iraqi id like to tell them to sod off, the sons of dogs!

A very very good point. They are simply using the war as an excuse to further their own agenda here. It is so transparently obvious, and really bodes well for integration, I don't think.

You are not using your brains. They are regardless of your personal views. When the twin towers were blown up, US troops and British troops invaded, First Afghanistan then Iraq. When you look at it properly, the twin towers are in New York which is further away from UK than Iraq is to Pakistan. And you have to ask exactly why it concerns the UK.
The Border of Pakistan and Afghanistan has mixed tribes of Pashtuns, who reside in both Pakistan and Afghanistan. All Muslims. What do you think? Learn from cici above, she is with brains.

As a British Muslim I feel I am highly qualified to put my 2p in simply because my Government lied to us about the reasons of going to war. As a British citizen I shall be voting Lib Dem next time. Don't tell me I cant contribute to the political process of my country.

You should probably be grateful for any friends you can get! Not all of them simply hate the UK..a lot of them were against the war, like millions of white british peope were, for the right reasons. I am a british afghan, and i was totally against the war in Iraq simply because it was wrong..i really cannot understand you.

Go and tell them.......to sod off, the sons of dogs..You are a real secular Muslim, who has a brain and might have received good education........One must be loyal to his country, which is giving him food, shelter etc, irrespective of his religion...
If some Muslims are hurt some where, the Muslims here burn the buses etc and riot......People like you should teach them the basics of the modern day life and bring them out of medieval age, in which they want to live.

i think that developments in iraq over the past 20 years or so is such a massive world topic that everyone is entitled to have a view on it and express it.

Who can fathom the way some (Muslim) peoples minds work - if you can, tell the Government and the rest of the country.

They outnumber you, but you can have a strong voice if you organize, formulate a strategy and speak out. Everyone wants to hear and see your views. It would be so refreshing. Please do.
