Lock myself in a room and tell the nearest adult "wake me when he's 18"

I never had this problem due to the fact that I am the one who is full of energy and kids need to keep up with ME!

Being the big sister is rough but if you can close your door and have privacy (yes your privacy should be respected) then at least yuo can have your quiet time!

Later on in years, hopefully you will both laugh at his energy. Sibling love is grand but sometimes not till you are older!

Good luck!

My son is almost 7. He does Tae Kwon Do 5 evenings a week, we have a home gym and he uses stuff in there. His favourite is the little jogging trampoline. To help him wind down, we sit and read together, talk about his day at school, what he would like to do at the weekend, etc. The key is keeping them busy. It doesn't hurt to stay busy with them.

1-Get him involved in a sport like soccer or karate where he can channel that energy.
2-get him in Boy Scouts so he can be with other rowdy boys and you can have parental support!

Super active kids need an outlet and the added bonus is you get some peace at home because he is tuckered out!

Sports. And the park.

Also, discipline. I suggest the book "Ritalin is Not the Answer" by David B. Stein, PhD. It gives help for those of us with super hyper kiddoes.

Well....Nothing much you can do,but get him outside and let him run it off. You still got many years so you might as well get use to it. That's just a normal boy. Try to get his mind on other things when he gets real hyper. Or yell for your mom and leave the room.

Moment by moment. Just remember - and keep reminding yourself - you are in charge. YOU are IN CHARGE.
