I have a laptop and I can't find anything reguarding this question. I just want to know if I can plug it in my computer to use or does it have to be plugged into a tv.

The PS3 is a computer in itself. It even has an internet browser. Why you want to hook it up to your computer is a mystery to me, because it trounces it in performance. You could transfer media by the USB drives.

Yes, it is a computer in it self if you have a moniter..it is also one of the first blu-ray DVD players.....it's a great gaming system, it does WAYYY more than just play games.
