my husband was away on my birthday (is a new trucker, and had to be in school over 6 hours away :( I am Very close with the people I work with, and was just all bummed out this year and didn't even tell anyone. They all got pissed at me for not saying anything, but I was just not in the "oh yay, happy day, it's my birthday!!!" mood, ya know? I spent it all by my self doing absolutely nothing. My neice's party was on my birthday, so I did that, but she turned 6 the day before. I made it loud and clear to my family that this was HER birthday party, I was completly cool with it, she needed her own special time to celebrate. I know all too well how you feel though. Do for yourself today...take a luxury bath with oil and salt and bath beads and good music, maybe a drink or two. Pamper yourself, you diserve it.

It's not the weekend... most people with lives (so I think) celebrate there birthdays on the weekends before or after. Don't worry about doing anything today... hold of until this weekend and I'm sure you'll have a great time! By the way Happy birthday

Just go out and have fun somewhere that you know you like, or somewhere new that you've been meaning to check out. I know it should be special, because as kids our birthdays are celebrated by our families and we come to expect birthdays to be super special. Just understand that a birthday is just another day, really. And expectations are just something that will disappoint you, when they don't turn out as you wanted. So, forget it's your birthday, and just try to have a fun day doing something you enjoy. Happy Birthday !!!!

Just relax and wait until the weekend when eveyone won't be as busy. It's never to late to celebrate. But whatever you choose to do be safe and have a Happy Birthday!

Sorry about your luck. Other than all of the above, what's your favorite thing to do. Once you figure that out, go do it. I mean, what birthday is it? Is it a milestone birthday. I undertand that sucks, but it'll be over soon.

sure you do, you have YOU to spend it with. Just think, you dont have to ask anyone's opinion on where you want to go. You can do everything YOU want, and you wont have to worry about whether someone else is enjoying it or not. The perfect birthday time, if you ask me.

First of all let me say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Do not feel so blue! Treat yourself on your birthday and splurge on something. Call your family. Just because they can not be with you does not mean you can not hear their voice. Enjoy your special day!!!

the date is about you, right? do something you enjoy! You dont have to spend the actual birthdate with others, you can spend it alone, then celebrate with others on another day.
BTW sounds like your girl probably should have planned ahead more, you should be important enought to her to study another day. Or she should be able to do both? Just thoughts.
