HR people - is it a turnoff if you receive a resume with salary history? I do this because I don't want to waste anyone's time if I'm not in the range they are seeking.

I should probably clarify a little here - I mean, is it a turnoff to receive a resume with salary information when it was NOT originally requested?

Including salary history when requested is a must. If you don't then you will most likely be kicked out. I would involve a recruiter since it sounds like you are seeking above average wages. The recruiter will most likely get you what you are looking for, if not more.

If you include your salary history on your resume, you could be selling yourself short. If you are in a rush to find a new job, your best bit is to go the site where they tell you the standard salary range per state for your job classication. Monsterboard.com has excellcent resources

Second suggestions - do not post your past salaries, but state that you are flexible on a starting salary with great advancement opportunity. No company is going to offer you a job for $20k more when they can hired someone with your same experience.
