Hitler was a very intelligent man but insane as well. He was paranoid, a narcissist, and extremely aggressive. He was intelligent because he was able to manipulate thousands of people to do as he pleased. He was able to maintain power for many years.
Hitler was always tense and serious; he could only relax with his dogs and with little children and sometimes be a little playful with the small group of harmless people who were allowed close to him. This being an emotional island and being unreachable implies that he felt threatened and couldn't trust any-ones intention since they would use knowledge about him against him. Somebody this paranoid, this evil and demanding of his military could only be insane. He demanded torturous acts to be carried out among the Jews and didn't feel any remorse or regret. His hate was so deep and intense. All of these characteristics Hitler possessed are characteristics of different personality disorders. When you have numerous personality disorders, you can only be classified as insane, and he was.
