There are obvious "acts of terror," but many times the parameters of the definition is set by those with the most power. If you are sitting in your home, have no affiliation with any activist group, have no weapons in your home, and a group of uniformed and armed men kick down your door....is that an act of terror?

If your phone calls are being monitored. Is that an act of terror?

If you fit a profile and happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and end up in a foreign prison with no recourse to a justice system--Is that an act of terror.

To paraphrase and old saying Terror "is in the eyes of the beholder." Why aren't people all over the world speaking out against acts of terror everywhere in the world?

BTW, I am not of the Book.

When was the last time you publicly spoke out against violence in the the inner city? When was the last time you acted to stop an incident of gang violence? Have you ever stopped an incident of racial violence. If not, why?

Think about this question, then give a concrete example of where a moderate muslim could have stopped an act of terror.

Mostly they do "speak" out against terrorism. But the media doesn't really show us that because it isn't really news. It's just like when we hear about all the crazy, ultra-religious people like Pat Robertson. You don't hear all the religious people speaking out against him because it just isn't covered in the media.
