My credit history bites.

If I had cash I'd have a car already. I own 1 car but my husbands is about to go out and we need one for him.

Do you have bad credit or just no credit history? If it's the former your best bet would be to wait until your 'bad' credit drops off or is 'seasoned.' If you just have no history - try and apply at Sears or local department stores. Do NOT run up the cards! Use them of course, but not more than what you can comfortably pay off in a month. Once you have been paying on them for 12-24 months you should be able to get a car loan with your local bank. If that is too long of time frame you may have to see a used car dealer that offers their own financing (BEWARE - the rates will be horrible and payments high for the quality of vehicle you get from such a place).

Another option would be to see if a friend or relative would be willing to lend you some money though this can cause serious problems if you fail to pay them back.

Good Luck!
