Not far by London Underground - Woodford is on the Central Line tube.
PS Where are you travelling from? From Liverpool Street Station for example the journey is about 20 - 30 minutes.

About 20 minutes by tube, maybe 30 by bus. Bus not the nicest option but de4finitely the cheapest. Overground Train goes direct into Liverpool Street Station which is Central London, if you take the tube you may have to change lines. Woodford Green is really now East London, so not far at all. I live in Chingford and I can get to London in 30 minutes max. Ciao and enjoy London

To central London (Liverpool St) on the central line its about 30-35mins from Woodford. Driving would be about the same sort of time, a little longer maybe (quicker if you're caning it down the A12 - watch out for the cameras, they work!)

You could probably drive to chingford, which is east london in 10-15 mins. Woodford Green is literally the outskirts of London. Where are you going/coming from?

If you are interested in driving go to www.mapquest.co.uk and fill out the addresses in the driving directions section - it will tell you how to get there, how long it will take, and how many miles the journey is. Should stop you getting lost too...
