I work in customer service and we get this alot and the majority of the time customers are wrong.

Personally I don't care whether or not the person on the opposite end can tell if I'm black or not...If that's one of their main concerns trying to figure out what my race is then they need to find another hobby or better yet call my boss's direct line...I'm here to do my job...I conduct myself in a professional manner at all times

what they said is true accents and slang do give reason for certain people to treat them diffrently or think they know what they do not....i have a friend who is from india and if you talked to her on the phone you would think she is a valley girl from cali. so you never really know who you are talking to.the best thing to do is treat everyone the same and with respect if everyone in the world did this it would be a lot better place
