My four year old son has surgery on the monday before thanksgiving and the closer it gets to that day the more nervous i get he is having surgery for a hernia and a hydra seal has any ones kids had this surgery before and if so how did it go ? the doctor has told us this is a very routine surgery but i am still nervous and would love to here from someone who has been through this

My son had to have three surgeries(none were the same as yours) and He did better than I did...he was under 5...be sure and eat before the surgery so you do not pass out from low blood sugar AT the hospital like I did...if you behave strangely he will pick it up and be nervous too. You do not want that; just keep to HIS routine and yours...it WILL be fine.

Being nervous is being a mother. try to think about the positive outcome of the surgery. Having positive thoughts will HELP slow down the nerves. In the even that doesn't work try two shoots if Jack Daniels.
