A social worker has sex with a client; next, she should be fired.

It is unethical for her to mix business with pleasure; therefore is a definite conflict of interest and if she felt so inclined, should have removed herself from that particular case.

He/she should remain professional at all times.

Don't even bring up the president stuff and that lewinsky ****. That girl knew what she was doing and when things didn't go her way, she felt like a cheap **** and wanted to take him down. She forgot some of the other folks she'd already dillied and dallied with - so she made her mark (and made some money besides).

The social worker should be FIRED!!

Hi there,

I used to be a social worker but had never ever been involved with any of my clients who generally were very vulnerable people.
Social workers are employed in a position of trust as well as some authority.

Social workers' work with the vulnerable sections of society and are protected by social services from having their vulnerability abused in any way and why social worker's are employed in a position of trust with their clients. It would be a sackable offence if you were caught having any sexual relations with a client and immediate dismissal would follow regardless if your client had consented to the sexual act because they are still deemed vulnerable and why they are in the care of local authorities.

There would also be an investigation into the case against the person and possible charges made by the client. They would have their liscence removed and a record made against them so that they would never work again with vulnerable people.

This kind of profession, is a very stringent one and for good reasons because in the past, there were many cases of where social workers' had abused their position of trust and there was a huge media coverage in the nineties about it, exposing social workers who had abused their client's vulnerability in several ways and why there are crimminal checks done on new recruits going into social services.

Children especially are the heighest vulnerable clients and why anyone working with them are thoroughly police-checked. It would be an immediate sackable offence to abuse a child, adult with mental health problems and the elderley.

No. Resoundingly "no". Inappropriate relations with students violates an inherent trust between the teacher and student. Not only is it illegal, it is immoral and unethical. Sexual habits do not change easily. A teacher who preyed on a student this way will in all likelihood do it again.

according to the guidelines the answer is no, but it doesn't bother me personally.
As long as the client was happy to have sex then it's just two people doing what comes naturally.
