ok, I have 4 kids with my bf of 8 years. He was on house arrest for drinking while on probation. He did not come home for like 10 days. They eventually got him and he just recently went to jail. (the reason he didnt come home was he got a ride to his DUI classes with a fellow classmate that didnt take him) so he paniacked and hide for 10 days. Anyway. I was wondering if anyone knew how long he could get in jail for these charges. It is kinda like an escape charge. I am just really upset. I am 25 and now a sinlge mom of 4 kids all 5 and under. I just need to get an idea of my future. Thanks for any advice!

They can violate his probation if they want to ( and most likley will) If so what ever time is left on his probation will be spent in jail.

Only you can determine your future. If you want to be successful, move in a positive direction for yourself and your children. Stay away from losers. Sometimes it's better to be alone rather than having to deal with a person who does no good for you or your kids. Work hard, be a good parent, find a support system and move forward to a good place.

If you believe his story you're as big a loser as he is! Honestly, 4 kids already and only 25! You two only had one thing in common--sex. Leave this loser. He lied about why he was gone. It was partying, drugs, loose women. Let him rot in jail. Single mom, get on assistance or get a job and dump him before he causes you any more grief.

the purely ingredient the legal specialist can do is attempt to chop back the reformatory time which will be received for breaking probation. The legal specialist can attempt to have a rehab center lined up for him even as he gates out of reformatory. some people in existence by no potential hit their bottom to get over themselves. This human being has a lack of existence favor and the purely ingredient regulation enforcement can do is comprise him to reduce the wear he can do to others. extra reformatory time can be a blessing in cover.

Man, you got yourself in over your head

Should of thought some before this all happened

He will probably have to finish his probation term in the county jail

Such a sad thing to be so immature and irresponsible to children

That really depends on the judge, and your boyfriend's prior history. Sounds like he was given a break, but screwed it up really good! I don't know what state you live in, but in Michigan, county jail time can't exceed two years. Don't panic, he probably won't get that long.

The best thing you can do is look out for yourself and your children. I'm sure you love your boyfriend, but he has chosen to be irresponsible (and, yes..it IS a choice he made) think of himself first, and forget you and your four small children. Please make some phone calls and find out what resources are available to you and your children. For whatever the future brings, you need to know you can take care of yourself and them. Once you know that, you will know what else you need to do.

First of all, you need to get rid of this boyfriend. I don't care if he is the father of your children....blah blah blah. Get a job and support yourself and your children. You got yourself into this situation, now get yourself out of it. Gain some self-respect!!! Why would anyone want to be with a loser??? Not to mention the fact that your children have to see this mess....Do you think you or your man are a good role model??

Sorry but if you're so worried about your future, you wouldn't have popped out 4 kids with a loser and not be married. Just my opinion.
