It looks to me that the world is divided into people who want to dominate others and the other people are the ones who let them. I don't want to be a dominated person anymore what do you you do? Are you a dominant person or a dominated?

I'm an alpha female. I dominate. No one tells me what to do or how to do it. I do the things I do because I choose to and out of love and common sense. People may suggest things or give advice but the final decision is up to me. The only other person who could ever sway me and my thoughts is the one I love. And even then, it would have to be because of their love for me and not a power struggle. I've never been a follower, always a leader. I have an innate sense of right from wrong, or good and bad.People come to me for advice. It is a part of my personality to be this way. I feel like people are patronizing me or talking down to me when they try to control me. I am an adult and it is my life and choices are mine to make. Sometimes they might be unwise choices, but not very often. I am very careful and think long and hard before I do most anything. If I make a quick decision without total thought, it is in affairs of the heart only. I have lead a GOD fearing, honest and upright life. If something enters my life that is out of my "norm," it's because there is absolutely no reason for it, or a very good and purpose ending reason, and it was decided upon by a higher power. You need to be sure of yourself and not let others intimidate you by making you feel less than what you are. You are a worthy person who has thoughts and ideas of your own. Try to tell yourself that you meet all standards and beyond in this crazy world and that no one will make you less than that. Believe me, it is worth it in the long run, even if you lose those "so called friends" who were never your true friends anyway. Good luck and GOD bless........

I don't think it is quite that clear cut, but I know what you mean.

You need to find your voice. You can't blame people for dominating you if you don't let them know you don't like it (some people do like it)

It is hard if you're in a pattern of being dominated. Make a resolution that you are going to change, and don't spend time with people who dominate you (at least for a while)

Choose friends who are different and won't dominate you.

You might have a dominatrix inside you - you could try being dominating back and see what happens!!

I am my own person, I would never allow anyone to manipulate me, I think that those who allow themselves to be dominated are those who like to be part of a crowd and lack confidence. I know that I am a kind, friendly, candid, passionate, intelligent person and if people cannot accept me for who I am then it's their loss not mine. Confident people don't need to be dominated.

Walk away unless you want your life ruled by someone other than yourself. People who are like this sometimes take it way too far.

I try to ignore them, if that doesn't work, there is usually a confrontation. I won't be controlled or manipulated.

Walk away from that person, don't let her/him rob you of your joy. Life is too short. You do NOT have to befriend or talk to everyone you meet.

Ignore them, there are enough people to go round.

try not to fall under their spell - be strong - they prey on people who are too nice for their own good.
